Thanks to the performance enhancement from 180 to 195kW, you can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The front differential lock combined with the optional progressive steering ensures even greater  comfort on your journeys even at a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

The striking red line and distinctive and dynamic bumpers in honeycomb design are the unmistakable trademark of the GTI. At the back, the roof spoiler and chrome-plated tail pipes catch the eye, while the LED tail light clusters round off the appearance. Attractive GTI lettering is emblazoned on the front doors as standard.

The IDA voice assistant allows you to conveniently operate your infotainment system. For example, you can select the radio station or address book entry or telephone number you’re looking for.

Start the function by saying “Hello IDA” and turn the vehicle into an intelligent conversation partner. The voice assistant also understands free formulations such as “I’m cold.” or “Where are there Japanese restaurants in Berlin?”. In addition, thanks to digital microphones, it recognises whether the driver or the passenger is speaking in order, for example, to provide the air conditioning specifically for the person making the request.

In addition to these functions, "IDA" has now been enhanced with ChatGPT*. With this extension, they can seamlessly access the constantly growing artificial intelligence database and have researched content read out to them while driving and interact with the car in natural language. ChatGPT does not gain any access to the vehicle data, and questions and answers are deleted immediately to ensure the best possible data protection.

IDA will also appear visually to you on the centre display, with interactions enabled via graphics. The system also asks questions or lets itself be interrupted.

Park Assist Plus

Not only can your Volkswagen with optional Park Assist Plus tell you as you drive by whether a parking space is big enough – it can also drive into the parking space for you. Up to a speed of 40 km/h Park Assist Plus permanently searches for suitable parallel parking spaces. Up to a speed of 20 km/h it also searches for parking bays. 

Once you have decided on one of the parking spaces found, you start the parking process, with Park Assist Plus carrying out the parking manoeuvre for you1,2. It takes over both the steering and acceleration and braking. You only have to monitor the parking process and intervene if necessary. 

But Park Assist Plus can do even more. It can also drive out of a parallel parking space again and can help you with a failed parking manoeuvre by completing the process for you.
